Looks on the shelve at Home Depot for ants killer. I forgot the name of the product but it came in a small tube (clear liquid form). If you can't find it. I will forward the name of the product next weekend when I get down to my house in Galveston.

We have them down here on Anegada. Look for "Terro" liquid. They haul it back to the nest and wipe out the whole colony. It works for us.

We had the same problem. We were at cvs or walgreens and saw a deal that repels them and spiders you plug in a wall socket and within a few days they were gone.

Acephate is the chemical you want. I think Orthene is 50% concentration. Smells bad though. the Terro brand is a solid second choice.

Nothing works. We put out some of that poison and I swept up a grocery bag of dead crazy ants. They were back within a few days or a week - and we baited them with poison again and got another bag of dead crazy ants. Texas A&M is studying a better control method for them. Right now nothing works. NASA-Seabrook is spending tens of thousands on controlling them and even they're losing the battle.

Brad, I've been using this stuff and it works pretty well. I think you mix about 7 oz to a gallon of water in a pump up sprayer, it comes in a quart bottle.

I use a spray but it only works for a few days. We hired a pest control company and they can't kill'em either. I bought these little round green stakes you push in the dirt around the house. The head is a little smaller than a skoal can. They worked good for a while. Like several months. We've declared all out war here in Pearland!

You want something with " fipronil" in it.
                        termidor or taurus
most of the things mentioned above will have some effect on them ,but something with Fipronil will be the best for long term control.
Trust me...i take classes on the subject every year.

                          Control[edit]

In June 2008, the Environmental Protection Agency granted temporary approval for the use of fipronil to control this ant. The pesticide is already used for termite control. Its use is restricted to seven counties in the Houston area.[17] As of May 2009, the ants continue to spread and have reportedly caused millions of dollars in damage in 11 Texas counties.

I called ESCO here on the island and they put out of Gel bait, which they ran to and took back to the colony.
