  • Not Sure Where to post this......

Decided to get a few hours of bass fishing in after work yesterday so I hooked up the boat and ran down to Halls. It was fun to say the least, but the tide was dead low and it made it tough on fishing. I was still able to get a couple bass to bite, but the big surprise was these two flounder. One hit a Wacky Worm and the other a Swim Jig. I also had a 22" red and a spotted gar on a Wacky Worm. Thats what I love about fishing the upper bayous, you never know what you are going to catch.

Nice! Many years back when I used to fish Halls Bayou, caught many of nice blue cats along with some dandy flatheads up beyond the railroad bridge (I think) or at least some type of wooden bridge or structure. It's been that long ago. All were on trotlines, but the dang crabs would give us fits!

Yes, there is a Bait Camp with a ramp and also a public ramp on 2004. They are a few miles north of Chocolate Bayou bridge.
