I guess my first estimate of $500 per fish was close after all . That number has stuck with me because it's so outrageous , I guess . Wow

I reported a guy that kept an oversize black drum. I told the dude it was over size and needed to go back. He said since it didn't have a black spot on the tail he could keep it. He pissed me off earlier in the day when he showed up and started crossing my lines so with that I called up the game warden and told him whats happening. I think someone else told him it was legal cause I saw him hiding it. Game warden pulls up and asked me if it was this guy. Told him its in a cooler he packed up. Made him pull all his stuff out and bam, there was an oversize drum. He got it taken away and drove off with a fine. We laughed at the dumb arse as he drove away. GW said it would be a 300-350 fine. Restitution is what gets you.

        Frankly, it should hurt.
People know the dang rules. That why they always hide stuff.
There is no excuse for keeping way oversize redfish or black drum.

Why a $150 fine for baiting hogs? I thought the state wanted them killed.

Where were the individuals baiting hogs? If on a public hunt area/Unit which does not allow baiting, that would constitute a fine.

On overside redfish/red drum, Civil Restitution fines can hit $1075.00 for a 57" fish. Those fines are calculated and fined by inches the fish is over the maximum length.
