Anyone know of an RV park in matagorda or seargant that they would recommend? I am looking for an annual lease. Need to have a small fish camp for the boy to get raised up around.
there is an rv park in matagorda right on the river @ the intercoastal. Can't remember the name but all they do is long term rentals. They have a private ramp and boat slips. I'll see if I have the guys info.

i can't remember the name either. I've been trying to come up with it all afternoon.
We stayed here for our first trip in the RV a few years back. It was really new then, hope its still a great place to stay. BTW, I cast netted huge shrimp there the week after labor day weekend while we were there.
http://matagordabayrv.com/ You may have to go thru a few hoops to get to the right sight. Anyway, hope this helps.
It is long term space rental only. You can also get a covered slip. The entrance is gated. It's on the Colorado River just above the ICW.
The state campground (Matagorda Bay RV) at the end of the River Road is also very nice. I camped there last Labor Day. It is a nice facility but it is not a long term rental place. Lots of coming and going all weekend but you can walk to the beach from there. Not really a 'camp' setting like the other place.
