I left thwe house at 6:45 and headed to one of my spots and it was a parking lot, so I headed out SLP, to the east to fish the surf. Pulled up into the surf at 2nd bar and threw out a live shrimp-hooked up on Pompano-boated 2 about 1.5 lbs each and lost 2 and broke 3 lines-likely spannymacs. Left after about 1 hour and no trout. On way into West Bay, a large flock of Pelicans were diving and bait was splashing. Threw out a shrimp and hooked one 27 7/8" red and tried for more but school had moved off, so headed in. Didn't fish Sunday or Monday.

Good report. I did not fish much after Thursday due to all the people on the island, but I did see several waders in the surf catching Spanish mackerel.
