August= Renewal Time

It's renewal time for my Fishing License at the end of August. Check yours and don't get caught out of date.

I tried renewing online yesterday and it would not add it to the cart. For the past two years I've just went to tpwd website and renewed there to avoid the lines at Academy. I'll have to try it again.

You had to wait until the 15th before it will accept. I tried to get mine last week and had to get year to year cause the regular license would have expired on the 31st. The 15th is the earliest you can get a regular license renewal for the next year.

I renewed mine in May and it is good until May of 2014. You all are talking about traditional license renewals which expire on September 1st. You can do an entire year instead, anytime. I just like it better that way.

Really ? I thought everyone had to renew in August for it to be good for a whole year . One may get a license in may but would expire end of September .

And I didn't think one got a free pass on buying a license unless you were born before 1931 . Am I wrong ?

Fishing liscense you can do year to year anytime but hunting liscense is August 31 every year
