We spent Saturday evening up the Brazos by the Highway 35 bridge fishing at my parents house when my wife hooked into this stud of a red on a live piggy perch caught in the cast-net. We didn't have a ruler or a scale but it was well over the 30" mark as it covered the lid of an igloo 96 qt cooler. She had one heck of a time getting him in. We also hooked into several gar that went over 5' but lucky enough they all broke off at the boat but not after putting up one heck of a fight. It was a great evening spent with the family!
