Not sure if any of you other FWE angler's were at the Galveston Bay Parrot Head convention this past weekend at The Victorian, but Donna and I along with her parents and other friends had a blast. Started off with a party Thursday night at Woody's and we spent Saturday at The Victorian pool drinking and listening to two bands play (Southbound and another). Went to Cajun Greek for dinner and then back to the Victorian for dancing and auctions. The band that was playing is called Jimmy and the Parrots. They are a great band from NJ (yes, New Jersey). After several adult beverages, the live auction started off with a Land Shark surf board (see them in bars) that was signed by Jimmy himself. We went head to head with a really nice lady, had to stop once it got over my limit. Second was this guitar, nobody accepted the first bid, so I threw out one which I thought was reasonable, but nobody wanted to go head to head with me or I was a dummy for going too high. Anyway, I won it and the money is going to the Wounded Warriors Project and Ron McDonald house, so I felt it was well worth.

I don't play and can't sign worth a crap, so it is going to be a wall hanger! Not sure if it is a collector's item, because he did not sign it.
