On probably my 5th cast something big thumped it hard so I set the hook and started cranking. This fish was fighting hard so I figured it it might be my first keeper red but when I finally got it in close enough to see I realized it was a big trout! Robert offered his net and I availed myself of it and brought in my new personal best: 26" and 6 1/2 lbs on the boga!

I'm so used to getting skunked recently that I had a heck of a hard time believing that I actually caught the sow, but even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then! Well, I needed a picture of this one so I walked back in and got a guy to take a snap and quickly sent it to a couple of my fishing buddies.
