After a week of gumbo water conditions the seaweed is flaring up off the wall in my favorite spots. Can see the brown patches from my porch. Guess it's gonna be chocolate bay Monday morning.

When it gets bad with seaweed I'll try (accent on "try") to skip fish. That's either a weedless lure like a gold weedless spoon, or a finger mullet with the barb of the hook hidden. Hold the rod high, cast and crank fast, skipping it across the top, helps to pop it good now and then. This works early in the day before the sun pushes down the fish. If you're still catching "grass bass" well, you tried!

Seaweed wasn't bad at the bayside Pass yesterday. It was however a little thick on the beachside. Good news is, the green water actually swung in some and was clearing nearer to the Pass...the further East I drove...it moved out and was a couple hundred yards by the time I hit the wall at noon.Don't be a Nancy!
If it smells like fish....you know I've been there!

Was a tough wind in Choco today. Was good seeing superspook and his girl. Me and sawdust found a little flounder bite on a shoreline but called it quits early. Monte' I can't wait for that '' green to the beach''. Want to catch some trout!
