We stayed down there a few months ago and the guy who lives next door told us you cant park there no more. We drove down here and saw no vehicles parked there.

Last time I put my kayak in there (March), there were no parking signs in the cul de sac at the west end of Sportsmans. There were not any signs on the south side of the road, except near the boat ramp. I parked away from the signs and had no trouble. I understand that the no parking signs are enforced.

Sportsman's turns west off of 8 mile road in Galveston. It's a good place to put in a yak or walk in.

I was down there about 3 months ago and you could park on the Southside as mentioned earlier. Parking was definitely limited from what it used to be!

                    Trashy People Ruin our spots

It only takes a few trash leavers to ruin anyplace for everyone else. Nothing like dirty diapers, empty cans, garbage bags and assorted stinky trash from TRASH to farge up an area, so when you see some thoughtless, irresponsible POS leave their crapola all over the place, let em know that they are a Piece of Trash also and belong in a dumpster, not in Society.

Robalo's exactly right. Fished that area for years and saw people disrespect the last 3 house on the right. Disregard for folks having the trash truck beingble to collect trash and blocking driveways so they could not leave their houses. I knew it was just a matter of time. I appreciate the ability to have access to wade the south shoreline but folks need to respect that privilege.

You aren't kidding! That cul de sac was the biggest trash dump on the island. Everytime I went out there, I'd pick up a bunch of trash and bag it up, but it would be twice as bad the next time. I saw whole families down there picnic'ing and leave all their sh't right where it lay. When I tried to call them out on it, they no-speaky-da-engly.
