Fishing in Pointe West - bay of surf

We will be down at our house in Pointe West this weekend and would like to do a little wade fishing tomorrow morning. Do you have any suggestions? Should we go into the bay or fish in the surf? Suggestions for locations?

Based on what I saw this morning you are going to want to stay out of the surf. It was brown and torn up well past the third bar today.

I did okay just west of Pointe West this morning with an early wade but I was fighting a really weak tide and SW wind. Tomorrow morning should be better. I would recommend getting out early to beat the potlickers and whack a doodles.

Thanks. We'll stay out of the surf. Looks like the tide will work better for us on Sunday morning, so we're gonna wait a day before we go out.

Do you think we try plastics or live shrimp?

Both mornings look pretty good from a tide standpoint. Go get 'em. Everyone around me was throwing scrimps this morning and I was throwing arties so I think it's your choice which way you go.
