Buy something that'll last and won't break your dads wallet when you go ask for gas money. And yes I drive a diesel currently. It's my veterinary truck, came with the job. It's a 2010 ford. If I had to pay for the fuel that goes into it, I'd have already thrown that chit to the curb.

First off I'm paying for this I'm a welder on the Texas pipeline and it has nothing to do with blowing smoke and looking cool l haul boats and equipment all the time and am just looking for a diesel but thanks for your 2 cents that didn't help at all

I'm biased to my duramax. It's an 08 and I've had zero issues over its current 120k miles. I constantly hear of my friends with power strokes complaint about rent cars and borrowing my truck cause theirs lives in the shop

At 18, might I ask what you need a diesel for? Gas is alot cheaper than diesel and all the guys that run diesels that I know say that they don't get much better mileage. Not enough to make the difference in gas worth it. If I had to I'd get the cummins, or duramax.

Do not ! Do not buy a ford power stroke 6.0
Go with the duramax. I had a 06 and they are badass
