So what is the diagnosis for your back problem ? I had pain from my l4 and l 5 , shooting pain down my right leg and lower back . I had steroid injections with lidocaine and that helped for a week only . Only thing left to do was surgery . I had a laminectomy last november and couldn't be more pleased . Sure i get some back stiffnes and usual old guy pain but nothing like before the surgery . I had arthritic bone and a cyst impinging mt spinal cord in that region . Dr. Stanley jones went in and removed the offending bone and cyst to take pressure off my spinal nerve . While in ther they found a verdabra moved around and so they anchored it to the next one with a flat u shaped brace . Results will vary depending on what kind of back problem you have . I hope you get it resolved . Man , back pain is no fun . I'm 63 and i should be thankful i haven't had my problem until now .

We're the same age & I had two of those surgeries 12 years apart with good results both times. Now I average 5 hours of yoga a week. Nothing helps me more than that. It makes you stronger, more flexible, and have better balance.
