You're a brave man. This can be a tough audience. First I think it's not bad, especially for a first try. The perspective and color in the sky is really pretty good. The ocean color is a little too intense, and the perspective in the reflection needs some study. My biggest problem is the frame color. It detracts from the work and could be off-white, or that pearl gray in the sky.

Just my opinion, so keep painting.

Not being an artist, I don't have the credentials to critique. I only know what I like and what I don't like. I like this painting, and I like the frame too. I'd hang it on my wall.

I think it looks pretty darn good as well...personally, the only thing I see missing is a 54' Sportfisher cruising into the sunset, and on the back deck are 3 thong clad hotties....and me!

Personally i dont think its that great. This is a fishing website, not an art gallery. All of the colors you got goin on there dont really appeal to my senses. Nice try.

I aint an artist.But where you got the moon reflectimg off the water and then again a little lower in the pic.Almost looks your stepping up instead of the water being flat.Just my BL opinion.Awesome pic though.
