You must wear a PFD in that area and people should never never ever let their children in the water there, with or without a PFD. The main problem is the unfamiliarity that holiday tourists have. The Brazoria County side (on the backside of the bridge) is a beautiful place with as close to white sand as we get on the upper coast and the water back there is almost always green or even blue. It's like the Siren's Song of Homer's Odessey. The temptations of The Pass has probably lured 1000's to their death through the annuls of the Earth's history. Once again, its very sad and I say prayers for the families of those lost.
