  • Jamacia Beach Bay Access Fishing / Crabbing Question

I Need some advice....so I'm coming the the experts.
I Will be at the Jamacia Beach RV resort, and it appears that we have access to the dirt road next to the park. It leads back to the bay. I'm bringing the Kayaks, and want the get the kids fishing and crabbing. When I look on google earth it looks like there are marshes back there. Any advice about what I can expect? I would appreciate your thoughts about time, bait, strategy, etc. Unload on me so that I can look like I know what i'm doing in front of the kids..LOL

    Much appreciated.

I dont think so...head to the state park, Sea Isle pier area, spots like that. Between the skeeters, snakes, mud in that area you'll be lucky to ever get your kids going fishing with you again...

Absolutely go to Galveston Island State Park. Great yak put ins and protected shorelines. The beach side is great if the surf is down too.

The rattlesnakes have been out and on the move. I have seen 4 in the last 3 weeks around Jamaica Beach.

Watch out for snakes around Sea Isle as well, especially on the rocks.
