With all the scheduling issues settled, Lynne came down to these 2 days for VJER Fest out at Blockade Runners. Just a couple days for everyone who ever met and cared for VJER Vic to come together and pass a good time remembering a great man and an even better friend. Pot luck, BYO whatever.
We're hoping that this will be a yearly celebration of our friend and everyone who's life he touched. Have 4 beds reserved for partners and family in case they all want to stay the night. We have 6 beds available. First to say you want in gets a bunk.
You don't need to stay the night. Just come on out and front porch sit either day. I think swimming will be good by then, at least it was today at 77 degrees.
The Confederate Navy is at your beck and call for ferry rides. Come out and stay a while, fish or swim. Eat, drink, be merry.
What do you need to bring? Bring your own drinks, and bring something to throw on the grill or in the pot, but no need to bring a lot. Don't get caught up in worrying about what to bring. I'll be doing a massive pork butt and I'll have a big pot of beans, and probably some redfish on the halfshell. So come hungry and prepare to have fun remembering our friend.
