This is on TOB. SCB hits the pavement. Winch not locked & no safety chain I'd guess.

Watch on the for sale boards for an 'SCB, slightly used, normal oyster rash from getting up skinny. Great boat, well cared for by . meticulous owner. Always stored on dry pavement. Must sell. New boat on the way!'

It happened to Eric the Owner of the company. He explained what happened on TOB. I believe said it happened yesterday and the boat was already fixed and on the water today testing it. Boat was doing 80+ on the water today. Sucks that it happened and yep a safety chain could have prevented BUT stuff happens. Only positive is that it happened to him so he could get it taken care of and that it looks like he was in the parking lot under the Kemah bridge, better than on the highway.

S%^# happens -- sometimes it's worse than others. Glad nobody was hurt and he's back in business. Just goes to show - even someone that's trailered a boat a million times can screw up too.

Ive set a boat on the pavement before. Doesn't take much. Luckily mine was a john boat, and was easy enough to put back on the trailer, with minimal damage.

Hope that there wasn't too much damage to the hull.

Only applies if you've trailered a boat a million times Bruce. S@#& happens more frequently to the inexperienced..

A "Boat Buddy" would have helped. I've put one on every boat trailer I've owned for the past 15 years or so. When you drive the boat onto the trailer, it automatically locks into the bow eye. No need to get your feet wet and no danger of loosing the boat when pulling up the ramp. Great product. Check it out.
