My old console in my 22 Whale had seen it's better days. The previous owner had it looking like swiss cheese and I had covered everything with starboard. That and the fact i wanted my electronics flush mounted got me started and this is what I ended up with. I am happpy the way it turned out. Gater

That is sweet...I've got a 1991 or 92 outrage with a console that has some of the same issue you mentioned...and it aint getting any better with time...I would love to see some pics after you get it mounted....I'm going to have to do something soon...every time I head across the bay in 3ft chop, in the back of my mind i feel like my console might disintegrate when I drop off the next wave...nice work.

Thanks, I finally have it mounted back in the boat and I am working out all the little bugs, blleeding the steering system, shifting linkage ect.. I am going to put it back on the trailer saturday and give it a good cleaning and I will get some pics of it in the boat.Originally posted by OR19 View PostThat is sweet...I've got a 1991 or 92 outrage with a console that has some of the same issue you mentioned...and it aint getting any better with time...I would love to see some pics after you get it mounted....I'm going to have to do something soon...every time I head across the bay in 3ft chop, in the back of my mind i feel like my console might disintegrate when I drop off the next wave...nice work.
By the way, the console is the same console that was used on the 1991 22' Outrage and maybe a couple of others. It was the only year this particular console was built. It had a door all the way across the top above the steering wheel which we closed in and added a box for the electronics. Gater
