      Yes, I have built 2. One for my brother, and another for my folks. The one I built for my folks is a Pavestone kit. The one I built with my brother was built with miscellaneous stones. Both were fairly straight forward. The only drawback is that you can grill, but you can't BBq as there is no top to keep the heat in. If you are thinking about a stucco/adobe/etc pizza oven type thing, I'm of little help.
