  • Good GoPro Editing Software???

I got the GoPro Hero 3 White Edition about a month ago. 2 weeks ago I used it for the first time while shark fishing and got some nice footage. However when I went to edit the clips and try to put something together, I realized the movie editing software that came on my computer isn't good at all. I used the GoPro software to trim the clips and add tints but past that I couldn't do anything.

I'd like to be able to put little videos together using video clips and pics. And if possible splice footage from other cameras into the video as well. Any recommendations on a film editing software that's relatively easy to use, not to pricey, and can make good videos??? I'm not looking for anything super professional. Just something I can make videos of my fishing and hunting trips with out of my footage and pics.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks y'all.

There's several options. There is a free Editting software application on their site. I havne't use it, but i'm sure its fine. Others use microsoft movie maker, or imovie. Simple is better.. it's all the cool video and pics that make great editting not fancey tansitions... a simple fade to the next pic or even no fade is all you need.

I use Final Cut Studio from Apple.. but its not necessary for what you want to do. have fun, put some killer music on there and then post up so we can watch.

I've tried using the gopro free software, it only let me do small things and not assemble footage together. It's more for editing clips and not really putting a video together. I would use iMovie if I had a mac but unfortunately I don't. I've read about some different softwares and I'll compare those to the one you suggest and see what best suits my needs. Thanks for your help.

I'm gonna try the new windows movie maker after the suggestion from TroutSupport and trseato's article. I had an older version but didn't like it. Hopefully the new version is better. At least it's free so no harm in trying it.
