  • Boston Whaler

Picked up a 15'er over the weekend and although it's ready to fish, I'm wanting to clean it up nice and make it not de-grade my nice F-150 when I'm pulling it down the road. I'm going to start on it today and bypass catching fish with Termo in lieu of hopefully making it shine up a bit. Any suggestions on products for doing this is greatly appreciated. I'm going to take it to the car wash for starters.

    Where's the pics???

Any 3M product will work great. I have a buffer if you need to borrow one.

Nice boat Harvey. What powers it? Side or center console? Since the GWs are out, check your safety equipment and make sure all is current and up to standards.

I was thinking you'd by a jet float plane after your experience with them????? Ha Ha.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. It's a '84, Jerry. 50hp evinrude. Side console with the wood accents. Hull is very good and motor runs strong. Got a minnkota trolling motor and depth finder. Swooped it up for 3500.00. Think i did o.k.

Cograts on the new ride, Harvey. They are great boats, had a 13 ftr for years until family got too big for the boat. I'd say you did great on the price with all the xtras...I'd say any product that academy sells would work for the shining...

I love my B-I-L Sawdust's 13', Mr. Buddy. You've seen it. We've caught a lot of fish out of that little boat. Made me a believer.

If you go to Whalercentral.com you can learn more than you might want to know about how to modify, repair, or care for a classic Whaler. Have fun!

3M Finesse (sp) High dollar stuff, about 52 bucks a quart at West Marine. A 1/2 bottle will do my 22' so you'll have several cleanings in one bottle. It's easy, wipe on use a buffer to get take off. When done follow uo with Nu-Finish polish, it can be purchased at most auto parts, Wally world ect... do not use wax on gelcoat. Congrats on the boat and good luck. Gater

Congrats Harvey! I suggest Buff Magic. I used it on my SeaRay Sundancer and it worked fantastic.
