I'll be in sea isle too. We just got back today and it was really windy and I ended up with this red for the weekend. The fishing was very slow otherwise.

Personal opinion is the bay is a little ahead of itself compared to normal years... don't worry about the water color though...those fish are used to eating in that water no matter what color it is...yes, it's tough to fight the wind all day. i'd start with mud or mud shell mix with bait on it and go from there. Sorry about the lack of detail last night as I was dead tired from the rodeo. Anyways, we waded back lakes and the marsh a lot, but it was dead, only saw a couple mullet jumping. We didn't catch anything or have any blow ups on tops. The only thing we saw back there were tons of stingrays. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask!Tight LinesComment

When fishing with my little ones and it's windy I just go into the ICW and fish the deep drop on the south side. You can go into the ICW striaght acrosss from Sea Isle find the PVC pipes marking the entrance and go easy. If it not too windy just fish the shrimp boat or bird isalnd with dead or live shrimp on the bottom. Your kids will hook up.

i was catching rays too in green lake and green cut area 2 wks ago, so pretty much the same thanks. made me think it was a flounder, it was just dead weight.Comment
