  • How populated do the bays get during spring break? I

I got a house down in Jamaica beach for over the break so I can hone in on my fishing skills. I was just wondering how populated do the bays get? Or does it only stay on the surf side.

I arrived on Friday. I've been surprised at the lack of crowds. We were the only boat around Starvation yesterday afternoon. Just noticed 3 more groups arrived this afternoon around us.

Down in Sea Isle, caught one keeper red from the pier and quite a few rats. How did yall do fishing? We are going to try to fish the lights tonight

Down here at the other end of Texas, SPI, the crowds have been very slow to arrive, seems like about half of what it was last year. Word is that the students are saving their money for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Night dishing for trout under the lights might work in this wind, dunno. Maybe get some chum?

Not many people willing to brave the winds out here right now, including me. I don't even want to go outside to pee. Blowing a sustained 25 out here now.

Looks like it's going to get better over the next few days, wind wise.

I haven't seen a lot of traffic down here this weekend but that could change.

Tried to fish late a.m. About the time we set anchor, the wind started picking up. We lasted about 2 hours and headed home. Hoping it lays down later. Only saw 3 boats out.
by the way Caranchua lake was clean with the falling tide. Greens is blown out.
