Got the chance to take a few Hobie team members from the UK out to get on there first redfish. It was in the middle of last summer and I had wanted to take them up to trinity to catch some of the reds schooled up in the marshes. Come the day to hit the water the winds were howling at 35 mph out of the south. Not a great day to hit trinity. So I took em local to go mess around in the local waters. Figured we probably would not catch alot but they would not have to deal with the winds back where we were at. I invited jon and local Hobie team member, Marshall along to get to enjoy the experience. We all had a great time, the fishing is not exactly great where we were at but they got what they wanted plus some. They mentioned on more than one occasion how impressed they were with how good of people we have over in Texas. One of the fellows wrote this article in one of the UK fishing magazines about his fishing experience over here check it out!
