  • Galveston Trophy Trout Series Feb Event Results

GTTS’s second event was one of the biggest turnouts that we have had yet, which only means more and more anglers are willing to put their skills to the test against some of Galveston Bay’s top trout anlgers. 58 anglers set out on Saturday morning with not so favorable conditions. Just a day after a weak cold front that brought W/NW winds at a steady 15 and gusts in the 20’s and to turn around on tournament morning pumping out of the E/SE at 10-20 making it tough on all the diehards. 16 teams made to the scales with some really good stringers despite the tough conditions. Results are as follows:
1st place with a solid stringer of 17lbs 1.4ozs Sjon Sellars , Caleb Harp, and Chris Muscarello with big trout coming in at 6lbs 5.2oz
2nd place one bite short of taking the lead was 15lbs 4.2ozs Clayton Smalley and Austin Angel with big trout coming in at 6lbs 2.4ozs
3rd place with a respectable stringer of 14lbs 8.8oz Clint Barghi and Vincent Rhindando with big trout coming in at 5lbs 13.8oz
4th place Stevie Anderson and Kieth Ingelhart with 13lbs 10.6oz
Rounding out the rest of the field
5th Pickell / Marshall 12lbs 15.2oz with big trout for the tourney coming in at 7lbs 5.8oz
    6th Robinson / Shaw 12lbs 5.8oz
    7th Popovich / Francis 12lbs 1.6oz
    8th Baker / Reuter 11lbs 11.4oz
    9th Cambiano / Bauman 11lbs 9.4oz
    10th Randolph / Smith 11lbs 7.4oz
    11th McRae / Cambron 11lbs
    12th Swartz / Williamson 10lbs 7.4 oz
    13th Havens /Renteria 10lbs 7.2oz
    14th Dykes / Roberts / Hunter 10lbs 6.4oz
    15th Jones / Gabel / Mills 9lbs 1.2oz

The GTTS staff would like to thank Outriggers for their support with this year capt meeting and weigh-in location and a big thanks to all the angler and their families and friends that came out to show support.

Congratulations to everyone involved! It was an ugly day to fish. I'm impressed with the numbers that were posted.
