  • Fishing Report: Today's trip.

Well me and my buddy packed up and headed out of League City at 5:00... Big mistake. We wound up sleeping for an hour parked by our west bay wading spot. So finally the sun rose and the first thing I noticed was how low the tide was... But we figured why not give it a shot so we both put on our waders and walked out.

First thing I notice 10ft in to the water is a huge stingray cruising an oyster bed.. Made me shudder...

we walked about 50 yards out and we were barely knee deep and the water was gin clear... In talkin Destin Florida type water..
In the end today was a bust, but hey I'd much rather be fishing then sitting at home playing video games and whatever else kids my age do. Lol.

Made my first trip out since before duck season started, launched out of fat boys at about 1130, and ran out between the deer islands. Wife caught a 17 inch trout on the first cast, and we ended up with its twin, a black drum, and a 19 inch red (so close!). Enjoyed a gorgeous day, and got a little sun.

Yall are making me feel like we had a decent afternoon, can't wait to get back out.
