  • Otter spotting

I went out to the diversionary today to see if there were any reds and there it was paddling down the canal. I couldn't get the camera out fast enough, before it got out of range.

My friend and I saw one a few years ago in the surf one day in February when it was slick calm. We were fishing off one of the rock groins when it swam past. Pretty cool. We got a video but i don't remember where it is haha

We fished with Aqua Pimp on New Year's Eve and we spotted one as we were headed out of Jamaica Beach in the canal not too far from the ramp.

saw one last week catch a baby duck pretty cool to see after tearing up the big trout. Didn't know they ate ducks, but my friend said that same otter took about a 6 lb trout off his line one morning, that otter is a badass.

Dadgummit, Ive been telling everyone that rat-tailed beavers taste like chicken. I had the flavor right but the critter wrong.
