    Fella's,

I need help. I will be in west bay on January 25th 26th. I have been fishing chocolate bay for about 2 years and by fishing I go to my bay house and throw shrimp off the side of the railing and wonder why we only catch a few fish every now and then. I have come to the realization that even though I love fishing I am a terrible at it and apperantly there is more to it than drinking beer, throwing your line in the water and daydreaming that a boat full of naked girls will run on a sand bar and need my help...

I have been trying to research when and how to fish for redfish and was wondering if any of you could shed some light on bait to use this time of year, a good spot to fish in west bay or chocolate and what time of day. I am bringing my brother and some of his friends out to my bayhouse for the first time and want to try to put them on some fish, because I keep telling them how bad *** I am at fishing and would like to not look like a complete sad ******* fisherman. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    MoneyMike

You might hire a guide. There are some really good ones on this site that target redfish. They would probably help you learn a lot.

Hit the mouth of bayous or drains with an out going tide in the pm and you should catch a few. Best way to learn is to get off that dock and go searching around as we all had to do.

Good luck and hope you find em.
