I agree 100%...I know my kids just wanted to bring something in to weigh...trying to come up with prizes but with the wide age difference may be best just to have shirts they can have and a trophy. Shirt size could be arranged with registration so could be sized right...make a real big deal as they get the trophy, take pictures, stuff like that...Originally posted by Ibtsoom View PostThanks man! We could put anything in there category wise as long as each kid has fun and the opportunity to weigh in no matter what they catch -- hardheads, piggies, smallest fish (any legal species), biggest fish -- we'll brainstorm for a few weeks and see what we can all come up with.sigpic

Jonathan -- great idea about the age thing. We could do a 12 and under group and then 13 to 16 group (I think the reg reads under 17 doesnt require a license)
Brad - I like the shirt thing but it may be a logistics issue being that we dont get most of the registrations until right at tournament day.
I'd hate to be unable to give someone a shirt because we didnt have enough and I'd also not want to purchase extra shirts and not use them. Make sense?Shut up and FISH!!

My little girl isnt even here yet. However I would love to help! The bass club my Dad and I used to be involved in did one of these a year and it was a HUGE success! Vendors were eager to give to it. The kids had a B.L.A.S.T! i dont know how it would work in the Salt, but we used to feed the cove on the lake that we held it in for a week before with range cubes. all fish were weighed.
You can count me in as a volunteer!

I think a shirt is a great idea, but I understand not wanting to get stuck with them. Why not have a cut off date for shirts and encourage people to register early?Originally posted by Ibtsoom View PostBrad - I like the shirt thing but it may be a logistics issue being that we dont get most of the registrations until right at tournament day.
