  • Awesome 2 days

So I decided to go yak yesterday morning and throw my new curado/falcon rod set up. Paddled around and seen bait and birds everywhere on the shorelines. Came up to 1 spot with no bait but seen 1 single shrimp jump so I decoded to throw in a plum chartreuse TTF jive 45....that's all it took. Cast after cast I was hooking up to trout 3-7 lbs and a red 6lbs. After 10 fat trout I decided to call it for the day to go spend time with the girlfriend. All fish wee CPR. Will post pics when I get home.

Today I went out with JHua and worked shorelines and birds/jumping shrimp and managed 3 reds together before calling it an early day. We both missed a good shot at a couple tailing reds. Plum chartreuse bass assassins and jive 45's were the ticket. Fish tightly packed up against the shore lines during out going tides over mud under 6-12" of water.

ima go with the biggest trout pic i see is at best 4-5lbs. Ask mom and dad for a boga for xmas, because a typical trout this time of year to weigh 7lbs is going to need to be about 26-28in and pretty fat. However I have seen one this year that was 25 and 7lbs and was a football. TIGHT LINES!

The pictures don't show exactly how big/fat they really were. The biggest I caught was literally a hair under the 7lb mark on my bogas that I've had for 2 years. I know how to read weight on bogas, this isn't my first rodeo. I caught a lot more fish, and fatter longer fish. And randy it's a 7' medium action, absolutely amazing rod and reel combo. I have the last model curado on my 6'6 falcon and LOVE it!

it's all about the 2' ice fishing spinning reel combo for sow's. 7' rods are for nancy's.
