Screw 93.7 and their never changing rotation of the same 50 songs. W&J was the only reason I ever listened to 93.7 anymore. It doesn't surprise me they got dropped though, they actually had the balls to say some stuff that was controversial. Honestly, I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. Homeland security probably carted them off somewhere lolNothin' but hardheads.....

I wish KTRU still played good music-seemed like they stopped in about 1986. Most radio here sux, but I did like S&P with the miss piggie/uncle waldo stuff-my favorite skit was "Hans and Franz" the party dogs that were at the vet-one getted nuetered and the other getting its nails clipped."Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

S&P were classic. I think that W&J show was too political at times. We want to hear rock and roll and funny entertainment not a bunch of political opinions mumbo jumbo on our music shows. S&P were perfect the way they infused the 2.Originally posted by Robalo View PostI wish KTRU still played good music-seemed like they stopped in about 1986. I just don't understand how anyone who is not a Communist and Obama lover, can dislike W&J. I've always enjoyed their show. As a matter of fact, before I made this post, I had never met anyone besides Curmudgeon who said they didn't like it. Go figure that one. LOL! I'm still waiting for Rusty to falsify radio charts and post them here. He can't post the real ones, because they show W&J very highly rated in our market. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

I never would have said I didn't like them because I never even heard of them before this thread. I don't listen to commercial radio since there aren't any Jazz stations in our market except KTSU.Originally posted by coachlaw View PostI just don't understand how anyone who is not a Communist and Obama lover, can dislike W&J. Robalo, KTRU was sold in 2010 to UofH to broadcast 24 hour Classical music. FWIW: Some of Rice Radio is still broadcast on KPFT."Curmudgeon only pawn in game of life."

Bruce is right. I asked him if he listened to them. He responded that he only listened to his people, meaning NPR. I took it as meaning he didn't like them. But now I see he never heard them.
Gilbert, you a very bad man.
