Here's a cool testimonial that came in this morn.. From Mike Armendariz
"I've been watching the Trout DVD, & I watched a little more of the Redfish DVD. These DVDs have so much info I need to watch them several times, then some more. It's cool because I don't get tired of them & I get something new out of them each time I watch them.
The limits in the pic came from waters close to the dock in areas where I often only caught 1 or 2 fish after a hard days fishing (or got skunked), before I watched Tobin's DVD's. Tobin's & The Shallowist's tips on reds came in very handy on this trip. Casts had to be right on the money because hooks fouled quickly if your cast was off, so I needed to know right where to put my cast & why. Their info was perfect.
From what to look for, to when to go, to what to use, these DVD's have helped me out a bunch. They are my best fishing references in my small outdoor video library collection." -Mike

Working on wrapping up another section of the Deepwater Reds DVD today. Knocking them out one at a time. Still waiting on a couple comments back from the review team as well. It's getting done, the light in the end of the tunnel is getting bigger finally.

here's a note from Avery Croteau on the Redfish DVD "I don't think it was the best time to fish but I still managed to catch a couple reds on a she pup (black/chart head). We didn't catch much else but the water was stagnant everywhere we went. I found an area just like the DVD talks about and that's where I found the two reds 20 & 22. It was still a lot of fun and I was glad to use some of the knowledge from the Redfish DVD. Would not have known what to look for without it."

          Thanks again

Getting a second draft out today and already started cleaning up transitions. Big decisions to make though. Theres' almost too much content in it.

Here's an idea for a DVD . A new wea member requested information as to how to use artificial baits as he has no experience using them . I think an instructional video would be great . There are a lot of ways to work plastics and hard baits . Show how rig a plastic on a jig head , when to use a certain weight jig head , quartering the wind when casting , how to make a top water jig left and right and varying its retrieve , and on and on . Kevin Cochran has some instructional video about corky / fatboy retrieves in his catching trophey trout DVD that I found helpful . Not many people know how to use a corky effectively . I use them year round . You have a group of experienced guides that would have a lot of knowledge to impart on these subjects . No one knows all there is to know about these things and I think even a seasoned plugger could learn something new . I know I would buy such a DVD . It would be a good companion DVD to your how to find targeted species DVDs . Once you find them , how to effectively catch them using artificial baits . Keep up the good work .

Good Idea... just a question. Did you watch the Big Trout DVD? because a lot of that was covered in the big trout DVD.

And I think I can probably make something additional to it for everyone, just don't want to duplicate and have everyone feel like, "hey that was in the big trout dvd". Thanks guys, i'll see what I can do.

Yeah , maybe a beginner / introductory section to fishing with artificial baits and an advanced section . Or maybe two separate dvd's depending on volume content .

I'm sure I can work something together. I'll put it on the list.

Finished up revising the sections on shorelines and secondary bays; now revising the Putting it all together / plan your trip section to include reviewers comments. Hope you wrap up those changes this week. Getting closer to the true end now...yay!

Ok, got the 'secondary bay and shoreline' section put back together, working on the 'putting it all together section for those 2 methods... have that on the timeline and will get that section finished this week.
