Brazos River Fishing

Thinking about giving the Brazos river a shot this weekend if the weather holds. Was looking to go around where it crosses teh ICW. Anyone ever fished around there with any success? I have been hearing good things but never ventured down there.

Looking forward to anyones thoughts.

We used to fish the golden croaker run there and it was a blast ! Nothing brings a smile to grandmas face more than telling her we got croaker for supper lol

Can't figure out exactly where you're talking about but caught plenty fish growing up in the old and new Brazos in Freeport back in the day. Good Luck!

Yeah I will be in a boat. I will be coming down from bridge bait off the ICW down to the brazos. Was thinking or trying around up and down from the ICW.

The locks have been closed down there quite a bit here lately -- this morning there were about 25 barges backed up in the channel. If it's smooth like today I'd try around the surfside jettys for sure -- too much traffic at the other spot for me..
