Im trying to find a guide that does Kayak fishing trips. I have been putting off from buying a kayak because I have never tried Kayaking before. I think setting up a trip would be a good start. If anyone has some advise for me, that would be great. Thanks

Its def alot of work, but makes it more challenging, and can get into more spots than any shallow boat can get into. I started out with a cheap 320.00 pelican. Its ok, but if you buy one, get a good one. The Malibu's are pretty sick. Just google Galveston bay kayak fishing guide.Karma's a beach.

I went out with Rick (http://www.rickskayakadventures.com/) a week or two ago. He is based out of Freeport, but will go anywhere on the coast. Had a great time. Due to some NE winds and severely dropping tides, I only caught one keeper red.
However, I learned a lot and would go out with him again. He often advertises on TKF about a two man 15% off deal on certain open dates. I took advantage of that and was happy I did. I felt I learned enough to justify the trip.
Where are you and when do you fish? I'd be happy to show you a few spots and a few of the things I've learned, but I still consider myself to be a rank amateur when it comes to kayak fishing itself. Rich
