  • Gotta Love Texas Weather

One minute the water will look calm, invigorating and inviting...

The next minute it won't look as appealing...

Yeah. The former is of the days I'm at work and the latter is the days I'm off.

I shoot most of my pics with either my iphone 4, gopro hero 2, or a nikon d7000. I'm also looking for another waterproof p&s since my last one bit the dust. One of the photos above was shot with my iphone. The other was taken with my nikon. Can you tell the difference?

Agreed! I picked up an HMX-W300 by Samsung and it's a decent unit and easy to switch from video to camera.

I'll guess IPhone for the first picture.

No precautions. I'm just careful with it. I know one day it'll meet a watery death (every camera or phone I've own has) but thats a risk I'm willing to take. No risk...no reward.

You guessed right. The fact that it's that hard to distinguish is amazing. It's crazy what cameras, even camera phones, are capable of. Without any prior knowledge there's no way I could tell which one was which.

Way to go. The giveaway was the depth of field (or lack of it) in the second shot. You can't set an iPhone to do that.
