  • Texas SLAM - Miniature Style

Got out to the bayou early this mornin' and started throwin' dead scrimps off the porch. 3 casts in a row - 8 inch red, 9 inch trout, 7 inch flounder. Keeper whiting and a coupla mangroves too. Had to quit when the wind got to be too much. Not bad for fishin' off the porch. To my recollection, I've never had a mini-slam before.

No pics. I don't do pics enough anymore. I was alone too, so nobody to snap it. I have pics from June that I haven't uploaded yet. When I catch a little one, my first concern is to unhook him skillfully and get him back in the water ASAP.

Bruce, I finally retired that old rig with the dull hooks. The mangroves were the same size as last weekend.
