  • Rule 800 livewell pump question

My livewells have quit filling. The pump runs, the impeller looks like the one in the pictures, and when I remove the head the pickup tube is clear. Any ideas why it is not pumping? It is a 2008 if that makes any difference. If I need a new head where would I get that?

Would anyone have a parts list they could send me? I didn't get a manual.

    Thanks,

    Dick

Likely the impeller is broken loose from the motor-pin. Fairly common for the impeller to come loose. You say it runs, but doesn't pump. Have you pulled it off while running the pump? Was impeller working while running? It'll make ya bleed if ya try to touch the spinning impeller while working-if it stops from touching, the impeller is loose-get a new pump. If pump is working properly, get a wet vac and reverse it so it blows and blow out line to livewell and listen for the air going into livewell-maybe clogged from grasses?

That pump should be easy to replace if it is the pump.

As far as parts detail, try googling Rule Pumps.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary.
