October Fishing

Hey all, been awhile. Been taking care of some personal business for the past few months, and now
looking to get into it. Planning a trip to the Island with two other couples sometime soon in October.
I'm asking all, where & when, no boat, just off the surf / beach whathave you.

Weather & water temps cooling a bit, I know turns on the bite in most areas.
I just don't know enough about Galveston, to even make a good guess on where
to park our collective butts for the day.

Any ideas ya'll? Shouldn't be too bad, now that most of the tourists have vacated .

I always hear parking your butt at Rollover Pass can be productive, although it never has been for me.

I have also heard that in the past, was there once, wind was up and not much good.
Might be a shot if it's calm, tides up and the moon is right....
