Today we launched at the Galveston Yacht Basin, and after a fun morning of fishing we returned to the marina to find out that someone ran into our trailer and left! They did not make any attempt to leave their information or inform us of what happened, they just hit it and left. A man was nearby and saw what happened; he wrote a note to us with the trucks license plate and trailer plate numbers. Another man snapped a photo of the plates. Thanks again if you are reading this! The "wreck" smashed the right tail light and ripped off the two side steps. I don't understand some people. Unfortunately, people don't always do the "right" thing. He just slipped away and acted like nothing happened.
I am posting his license plate numbers and truck information just in case someone knows who it is, and so others can beware. Other than returning to a wrecked trailer, we had a great day on the water. It had been a long time since we got to fish saltwater and we finally did not get completely skunked. We caught about 10 sand trout and some small whiting and croaker. I also caught a blacktip shark, that was a lot of fun.
