Smooth just loose it on my street I'll promise to spend less !Originally posted by smooth movehad it happen to us once. wife lost her debit card, they ran up a little over 3G on it(all local). we called the Bayou Vista PD and they jumped on it like a duck on a june bug. then they found out we lost it across the street and it was in Hitchcock's jurisdiction. the guy was crushed, i mean down and out, he thought he had a real crime to investigate. Hitchcock PD caught the guy and prosicuted him to the fullest! good job Hitchcock PD, sorry BV, maybe next time she'll lose it on your side of the street!

Worked with a PD officer today he said cc fraud is so bad that local police can't do much of anything unless they catch the operation redhanded.

The same thing happened to me about a month ago! We had the debit card in possession. Woke up, went to the bank to withdraw money and found out there was no money left. We got it back after a week, still stressful though.

I had sombody in Staples New York city purchase some computer stuff 600 once. I noticed it immediately and called both my bank and Staples. Nobody seemed too concerned about it. While I was on the phone with Staples they tried to buy more. Luckily I'd already gotten the bank to shut it down. I wish they'd have caught the son of a botch.

Hope they catch the scum bags! Good that you have theft protection!!! Almost had my account broke into about a year ago, but bank alerts stopped it. Called me that morning and asked where my card was. Said in my pocket. Reply was well, someone has your number and has deited (2) 5.00 cash to your card. It was in north Houston and I live south of the dome...

How nice-the ID Theft people need to just be shot when caught. IMO, they are the worst and seems like the laws don't punish the bastages enough-just shoot em and be done with it-after stacking up 100 or 200 bodies, I bet the ID theft crap would stop.
