A couple of weeks ago a young man i have been close to for a number years asked me to plan a guys road trip. I said no problem, i know his Nana and Pa always want to see him. So It was decided that we would start off Saturday breaking in my new AR and then head to Nana,s for some fishing and maybe a little pistol practice at a indoor range. Well all want as planed except for the golf/range time,the range was closed and a big tree limp decided it was time to break off on Nana,s roof last nite, so we spent most of the morning removing it. The young man is off to the Air Force in 6 months, so we have a couple more trips in the planing.
Breaking in my AR was his first time with a rifle and second time shooting a gun at all.
The bass went little over 8lbs and i caught it on the 5th cast ,50 ft from Nana,s dock Saturday afternoon. we picked up another 25 to 3lb on Sunday.
When Nana held the fish we told her to hold out away from her body so it would look bigger, and it worked...lol
Looking forward to the next trip.
And yes the fish was released...
