Medicaid/Medicare issues
Long story but will try to make it short.
My sister had a heart transplant 3 years ago and never had health care coverage because the issues started while she was in college and she never had a job.
Since the transplant she has been working multiple part time jobs just to be able to live in crappy apartments with an old beat up truck that barely runs. They have a cap on what she can earn and still qualify for mecicare/medicaid. She just got word from the guvmnt that she made too much money the last 2 years and she owes them $11,000.00 + they expect her to have health care coverage ($485/mo) by the end of the month, and she has no medicaid/medicare. She has to have $10,000.00 worth of medication/mo to live and she is screwed without medicare/medicaid. I am not sure what is going to happen but she is really scared as well as the rest of the family for her.
I told her to file for citizenship in mexico, become an illegal alien and she can get free health care!
