Hey Guys,

I will be heading to the jetties Friday morning to give it a try. Hopefully the water will be decent despite a westardly blow. I have three teens from my church that want to catch a shark or something big. We will be soaking some big baits at one of the ends of the jetties. Hopefully throw some baits up against the rocks for some trout or red action.

Has anybody seen the water out at the jetties and the conditions?

I will post up our bounty when we get in.

I'd think the water should be nice out towards the end. I'd consider the gulf side of the N. Jetty if this W. wind stays put.

Here's one trick ya'll might want to use: I see that there is a hard incoming tide early morning. I've seen trout stacked up on the channel side of the S. Jetty on a hard incoming tide. About halfway out to the end the rocks are lower, and a lot of water actually goes through the rocks and over them (from the Gulf into the channel). There were mullet on the gulf side trying not to get sucked into them, and the specks were waiting on the other side for any that did get washed through. Too bad I was on the gulf side, but the boaters in the channel were hooking up almost immediately. Might be worth a shot early on your way out.

Dang MJ, you gave my spot away. Anytime ya find water coming over the rocks, that's where the T&Rs are!!! Freeline shrimped will get em!
