Anyone been fishing San Luis Pass. I'll be renting a house off Cold Pass next week. just looking for some pointers.

I would probably stick with live bait I was using plastics & could not get them to hit anything! Good Luck!!

Went yesterday and limited out on reds in less than hour, caught a nice flounder too.

For what it's worth, we fished there 2 weeks ago with top waters, corkies, spoons and soft plastics and couldn't buy a bite. The guys fishing next to us were using croakers and only got one keeper. The previous time I was there trout were all over the top waters. It will vary. Throw what you're confident in. Check the area with google satellite to find the structure you want. Good luck!
