Just had a knock on my door from the neighbor that one of the horse drawn buggies carrying tourist across Broadway down 23rd to the seawall was hit by a vehicle. Horse is laying out and buggy is on its side.No report of casualties at the moment. Think I'll postpone any events til around Monday afternoon. Damn!

No kidding! Heard of two men that a house fell on Wed. trapping them. Saw two huge forklifts lifting the house for paramedics to pull them out across the street.

21 year old punk driving drunk at speed up to 100mph plus killed one and injured 3 on carriage ride.

That's a dang shame. Those carriages do irritate me as they take up all of the single available lane and do not let you pass, but still an unacceptable accident.

I live off Broadway on the E. end and you should see the crowds that leave the "drinking beach" (E. Beach) any Sat. or Sun. late afternoon. Non-stop bass from all the hip-hop and tejano and everyone is trying to look macho by gunning it and speeding. Only a matter of time until someone gets hurt.

I agree, tourist season needs to end. Bring on the crisp days and waterfowl hunting!

....saw that also on the 'Tube a bit ago. Punk tried to run away and luckily a Cabbie jumped out of his vehicle and sat on the jackwagon until the Po-Po arrived and arrested him.
