Anyone using the new Mercury 150 4 Stroke? Gonna be re-powering very soon and looking at this one to replace the 2002 Mercury 150XL Carb on the Baystealth.
It's going on a 2030 Baystealth. The current 150 has been in the boat since I bought new in 2002. It has been an outstanding motor but I'm ready for a new one. I have a great hole shot with the current and fuel is what it is on the carb models that age. Anything new will be an improvement in fuel use.
The new Mercury 150 4 stroke weighs about the same as my 150 currently on the boat. Mercury just came out with this engine earlier this year and everything I have read about it has been good. The new 150 will double the mpg/gph vs the old carb 150 I have.
Personally, I would get a yammie over a Merc. I have 2 mercs and they give me fits sometimes-Merc uses a lot of cheap plastic parts. My yammie has performed better and less maintenance/repairs.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
