    I had another fun afternoon on the West End yesterday. I hooked into a really nice poon. He won the game, but it was a thriller. I was fishing alone and had to try to hand-leader him in for the landing. He broke my 20# leader butt on my second attempt.

    He won, but was a worthy opponent.



    He took my last olive over white clouser. I switched to yellow over white, but the poons were having none of that.

    I was up early this morning tying up another batch.

    Olive over white clouser on 6/0 Tiemco SP600 with synthetic olive underwing and pearl crystal flash.

          Man, I yelled," AArrrrrrggghhhhh" when the line went slack. Two formidable opponents going at it like that and there is no clear winner. You saw him and you know he could see you in the shallows - I call that a draw.
