Surf Fishing tomorrow 07/18/12 ??

I very rarely fish the surf. With ya'lls help, do you guys/gals think tomorrow will be good. (water, etc..) If it rains, I will still be willing to fish. Dont mind getting wet.

How has the catch been over there? Times? Colors (I only use artificial)?

Any help would be appreciated.

Its gunna be hard catching them with lures the water not that great and its pretty rough i normally only use lures but tried croaker for the first time today and did pretty good. I put up a report in the surf forum

If you're only going to throw artificial I would recommend a half oz. silver spoon with a treble hook or some good ole' soft plastics (can't go wrong with the same old red and white).

Definitely gonna hit the surf somewhere in the morning.....just not sure where yet. Hard to tell from gtown cam if water looks good there. Might have to venture to surfside myself.

It's not that flat and with the S & SSW wind it won't clear in Galveston. This side of the Surfside jetty has a better chance.

Thanks for all the imput guys. I got a change of plans now. Some how my buddy talked me into riding in his little porta boat out in Chocolate Bayou. Dont know how it happened, but it did. I guess its perfect for him. He lives in a APT (his version of a jon boat).

So if you see a fat guy and a tall guy in a 10-12ft porta boat, please slow down AND DONT LAUGH TO MUCH. LOL
